Our Roots, Our Foundation
Since those early days of a single room and two phone lines, Jigsaw Casting has offered the service of finding real, “on-the-street” people for television and print advertising.
What do we mean by “real people”?
Real people are defined as talent not represented by modeling or acting agencies; everyday folk, from all walks of life. They lend legitimacy to campaigns that seek to be uncontrived, producing film scenes or photo shots whose aim is inherent authenticity. Real people are an excellent talent source when:
- Agency resources have been exhausted
- Limited budgets demand more affordable talent
- Creative requires actual consumers of the product or service being advertised
- Client is simply looking for something fresh and new
Jigsaw’s years of experience in this specialized area of casting has resulted in two absolutes: a remarkably extensive roster of real people talent on file and impressively far-reaching resources and contacts that gateway Jigsaw through, what for all others, are closed doors.
Jigsaw’s real people roster covers all ages (18+), ethnicities, body types and personal-interest diversities imaginable. The list is virtually endless.
Given on-going client requests ranging from routine to obscure, it happens that Jigsaw is challenged to find those who are outside the current database and beyond more conventional research means. For these clients who dare to push the boundaries, Jigsaw’s team hits the streets seeking out that talent, no matter how ambitious the search. Referred to as “street casting”, this option remains an integral part of the real people division, further ensuring the database’s constant expansion.
Whether drawing from the real people pool or hitting the streets, both proves invaluable strategic options for the success of all projects.
