Of all the pages that make up Jigsaw Casting’s web site, this page is the most important to me.

I can only hope the sincerity of my love for all things casting, comes through. Conveying emotion in text is, for me, not an easy thing to do; I am not a writer. So with only the cold starkness of black and white words – words made colder still by this impersonal thing we call the World Wide Web – here I go.

As the founding owner of Jigsaw Casting, I have had many business proposals pitched to me over the years. And while always giving them real consideration, I inevitably end up at the same place: fearful of diluting the boutique flavour that, to my mind, is signature to the name Jigsaw Casting Ltd.

We’ve never been a “book n’ bank” company; I refuse the assembly-line approach I see others take. This is a craft profession so, for as much as I am a businesswoman with a company to administer, I am a casting director first. That’s just the way it is.

I’m proud of the fact that Jigsaw doesn’t just have repeat clients but rather very real, on-going professional relationships. In many cases, directors that had Jigsaw cast their very first project are still with us today.

Every day I get to work with remarkably talented actors, directors and producers; all the while, backed by the best staff imaginable. So how lucky am I? Pretty blessed, I’d say.

Enjoy our web site, and thanks for visiting,

Shasta
